The owner of an Anadarko nail salon has been charged with first degree rape after a woman told police that the man sexually assaulted her when she wentto get a manicure shortly before closing time.
According to reports, the woman's mother called police "crying hysterically"to report that her daughter had been raped at the salon. She said she had dropped her daughter off at the salon to get her nails done around 7:00 p.m.,but when she returned to pick her up, she discovered that the woman had been sexually assaulted. The mother took her daughter to the hospital and thencalled Anadarko police.
The woman told police that when she entered the salon, her cousin, who was leaving, told her to "watch out for him because he was a big flirt." She saysthat she told the Bui that she wanted to get her nails done, but he offered her a massage. She says he forced her to remove her pants and then beganmassaging her legs. When she tried to pull away, she says, he digitally penetrated her before raping her.
The woman says the salon owner then forced her to shower and washed out her underwear in a sink. Then, he made her stay to get her nails done before hermother came to pick her up.
Police say that Bui said that he had met his accuser but did not know her. When asked if he had sex with the woman, police say, Bui initially responded,"Absolutely not," saying he would never engage in a sexual relationship with a customer. However, they say he later admitted to having sex with thewoman, but told police it was a consensual encounter.
Bui was arrested and charged with first degree rape. He was released from the Caddo County Jail after posting $100,000 bond.
Under Oklahoma law, first degree rape is a felony sex crime punishable by a minimum of five years in prison, and up to life in prison without parole. Itis a Level 3 sex offense mandating lifetime sex offender registration.
